Dr. Thomas believes that dentistry is as much about trust as it is technical skill, and she enjoys the personal side just as much as the clinical aspect. She says that the best part of her job is helping people regain confidence in their teeth while building genuine connections with them. She’s eager to show you what’s possible for your smile while exceeding your expectations, but first, you can start getting to know her below.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Thomas discovered that she wanted to be a dentist while in college. She always knew she wanted to be in the medical field, but a chance meeting with an oral surgeon sparked her interest in dentistry. From there, she spoke with a prosthodontist who really shaped her perspective of the profession - the hands-on work, the science aspect, and the patient care and relationships that are built while doing these things appealed to her on a deep level, making it clear it was the path for her.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Thomas began her academic journey at Georgia State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, graduating Cum Laude. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Medical College of Georgia, where she developed both the clinical expertise and patient-centered philosophy that define her approach to dental care today. Over the course of her 10+ year career, she has taken countless hours of advanced training focused on cosmetic dentistry and is also a certified Invisalign provider. An active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Clear Aligners, she strives to stay at the forefront of the latest breakthroughs in her field.
