Dental Checkups & Cleanings

Every six months, it’s important to visit a general dentist in Pearland for routine checkups and cleanings. During these appointments, Dr. Thomas will thoroughly examine your teeth and gums for signs of oral health concerns, including conducting an oral cancer screening. Our team’s top priority is to diagnose and treat the small issues before they have a chance to become more serious.

Oral Cancer Screenings

As part of your routine bi-annual checkups, Dr. Thomas includes a thorough oral cancer screening. This quick, non-invasive exam involves checking the inside of your mouth, as well as your lips, throat, and neck, for any unusual signs or symptoms. Early detection is key—when caught early, oral cancer is often more easily treatable. Our goal is to identify any concerns as soon as possible so we can help guide you toward timely and effective care if needed. Regular screenings are a simple but vital step in protecting your overall health.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride is an excellent way to prevent cavities and fortify the protective layer of your teeth, called the enamel. Most people are familiar with this mineral because it’s added to most municipal water supplies and their dental hygiene products they buy from the store, but our team also offers professional fluoride treatment in-office. All it requires is a quick swipe of a small brush over your teeth, and your smile is protected!

Dental Sealants

Dental sealants are a simple yet highly effective way to protect your teeth—especially the back molars—from cavities. These teeth have deep grooves and pits that can easily trap food particles and plaque, making them more vulnerable to decay. Sealants are made from a safe dental resin that is applied as a liquid to the chewing surface of the tooth. Once hardened, they form a smooth, protective barrier that helps keep out harmful bacteria and makes brushing more efficient by creating a surface that's easier to clean.
